FILAMO supports senior scientist (and professors) within the field of aquatic and marine science to foster cross-methodological research and learning.
Senior scientist can apply for grants to support research stays of up to six months. The focus of the stay should be on engaging in research in a different methodological field than their main field of research. During their stay, senior scientists are also asked to engage in teaching or supervision at their host institute to facilitate cross-methodological exchange.
The grant only covers travels and accommodation of up to 75.000 NOK (~8.200 Euro). All other costs must be financed through other sources. Applications exceeding the budged will not be considered. Successful applicants will be asked to write short report on their experience which will be made publicly available.

Applications can be submitted at any time and will be reviewed four times a year, on the 1st of January, April, July and October.
