FILAMO supports PhD student exchange within the field of aquatic and marine science to foster cross-methodological research and learning.
PhD students can apply for grants to support research stays of up to three months. The focus of the stay should be on a different methodological field than that at their home institute but relevant to the topic of their PhD thesis/topic. The grant only covers travels and accommodation of up to 50.000 NOK (~5.400 Euro). All other costs must be financed through other sources. Applications exceeding the budged will not be considered. Successful applicants will be asked to write short report on their experience which will be made publicly available.

Applications can be submitted at any time and will be reviewed four times a year, on the 1st of January, April, July and October.
